Approaching mid-game

I’m not in midgame yet, but I think I’m in the late stages of early game. I’m on run 5, working on saving paragon up to buy Renaissance (which is the only price-reduction Metaphysic I have left), and I’m pretty much sitting here grinding mansions and space stations (huts and log houses are maxed out).

What I’m wondering is, what run do y’all normally start getting into time crystals and such? that seems like the obvious next step, it just also seems like waiting a billion years to have enough alicorns to make some isn’t the smartest thing either.

The relics from relic engines will help you get the cryptotheology upgrades that speed everything else. It’s locked behind transcendence tiers, however, so if I’m ahead of you in TTs, that might be the difference (I was at TT 15 when I got the shatter engine online). Once you have around 100 unobtainium per second, you can start investing into chronofurnaces and resource retrievals until you get to the point where shattering TCs gives you enough unobtainium to get your TCs back by trading with the Leviathan. If you keep maxing black pyramids and max out Levi energy then that also speeds up the engine. One of the cryptotheologies (Black Bazaar) also improves your resource retrieval rates. Eventually you get to the point where you are getting back 50 to 100 TC for ever crystal burned (for me this was at 40 Furnaces and 20 RR). Buy some Boilers to make it so that you can go longer between needing to shatter, and pretty soon you can be making 500k to 1m TCs per day. Of course, those numbers only go up, but where I’m at, I’m somewhat restricted by my unobtainium capacity as I will cap out on unobtainium about 100 times before I hit my heat capacity, and that just gets to be a lot of clicking.
