I’ve been interested by the pollution mechanic as a new-ish player (around a year or a year and a half) and instead of resetting as soon as I’d hit my population goal for this run, I decided to go a bit further and then see what it would take to realistically hit 0 pollution before resetting.

Currently, I have 29 factories and all energy is coming from reactors (15), solar farms (27), hydro plants (5), and satellites (4). Since I’m not running the smelters anymore and have been selling them off, it’s like reverting to an earlier part of the game when your only source of titanium is zebra trade.

I’m drawn in by how in order to prioritize healing the environment, you basically have to prioritize it in both a policy and industry.

As you get more resets and higher Solar Revolution and Paragon bonus it will get easier to get enough Factories to zero out pollution.

I’m very late-game and so am able to run max smelters and still build enough Carbon-capture factories to set pollution to zero.

Grats on getting to zero pollution and you can look forward to it being easier to accomplish next run.

LFG!!!

Carbon neutral and 0 pollution at Year 1265.

It’s cool to see the low/zero pollution text since you can’t see it at the beginning of the game.

At the end, I have 36 factories and 20 reactors.

My happiness is so high :')
