**Why send explorer cost takes 100 catpower instead of 1000?**
It takes exactly 1000 catpower and refund you 900 if no one was found.
I just put my leaders as farmers, using “unassign just the leader from the job” button. so when I switch my production doesn’t drop.
If you use them as engineers (because of limited factory slots), I guess you’ll have to rely on best kittens being on top of the list.
Did not know about the burned paragon, that makes a huge difference. And yeah, after playing a bit with even just over a hundred paragon, I noticed that really, the “kitten” production is pretty unimportant. The only things that really seem to matter, even early in a run, are conversion bonus and crafting bonus (and later on space production, as you mentioned). Thank you for the info!

Your unobtainium production in the screenshot is 35.73 per tick (200ms), so you are producing ~178.65 per second. At some point, you changed the option in settings to show per-tick values everywhere, instead of (usually) per-second values.
The visual indication of this difference is that the change values are unitless (+35.73) rather than including the time unit (+178.65/s).

I've been always annoyed by the reddit, and been considering to move this sub to the self-hosted platform on several occasions. I've been told by a lot of users they are here are mostly for the r/kittensgame so I suspect nobody cares about reddit much.

It scales in a weird way too so that you can max your titanium with a quarter of your catpower. Im on reset 4 or 5 now and wish I had reset more frequently and been more aggressive with my Apocrypha usage.

I didn’t realize until I was pretty much about to reset for the first time, but the tradeships are MASSIVE in terms of getting titanium from Zebras. I was trudging along for almost a month here to my first reset. I’m guessing that could have been much, much faster if I paid attention there.
Once I bought a ton of trade ships I basically went from 90 to 140 kittens in less than two days.
- Push your workshops, push your kittens, improve happiness, then everything else
- spam observatories, then ships, then trade for titanium upgrades.

I’m just dicking around, trying to max everything. I agree it hasn’t been worth it.

You’ll need titanium to build more. You’re pushing for mansions and towards alloy/concrete which all need titanium.
You need observatories for stsrcharts for trade ships for titanium (via trading)

I'm a little bit lost on what I should do next. I'm currently just letting the game run to farm relics to buy things from Cryptotheology.
Should i farm paragon up a certain amout? If so, how much? Should I get more burned paragon or just buy the remaining metapysics? Or repeat challenges?
I couldn't find a guide that helps me here. According to Sagefault's Endgame Guide I'm in mid game somewhere between "Type 1: Relics Stations" and "Type 2: Shatter Engine", but it doesn't describe how to get there.

But I get the impression that the leader bonuses are just... kind of negligible. Sure, Artisan helps a bit in the beginning, and it's good for afk'ing with engineers, and scientist/philosopher are super helpful, but... the gold honestly seems more useful, and both of the other options at that cost seem better, especially in longer games. Eventually, the leader bonuses like Artisan just seem to be a minuscule fraction of the things they're providing bonuses to.
Am I just misunderstanding something, or underestimating how monarchy works?

Hello there. I have something weird happening (mobile, iOS). I have to have 18 kittens (out of 71) on Hunter to have any positive cat power progress. If I start with 1 kitten on Hunter, my production is -0.79. If I add another, it goes DOWN to -1.59, then another gets me down to -2.39, etc.
Is this a known issue? I do have a few mints, and it seems the consumption of cat power caps out at -15 per tick. Once I hit that number the more I add contributes positively

Suddenly this morning all the fonts in the right column are WAY TOO BIG. Makes the list of buildings feel incredibly long, and as shown on "normal" setting it makes some labels too big to fit inside the lines. On "large" setting it makes some labels too big to even fit on screen
Only that one font changed size, and it changed for every tab. Changing to "small" font size leaves it STILL looking bigger then what I had last night, while making the other fonts hard to read.
Is this a glitch or a bug? Is this an intentional change?

i read the wiki and from what i understood only the leader gets the benefits, but the button that says "Promote Kittens" has a description that says "the leader promotes your kittens" so it kinda confuses me to why would there be a button to promote other kittens.

My Worship increases quickly until the Solar Revolution bonus is around 4.5k% then slows down dramatically. As I understand a bit more, I think I should ideally be around 150k% SR bonus (ballpark I don't have the article open in front of me) before I tried to transcend again. How do I increase the apparently worship/solar revolution bonus "ceiling" that I am bumping up against?
I have 150-200 temples and chapels and 250ish priests if that makes any difference.

I haven't played in years so I started a fresh game. I got my steamworks and workshop automation done, and I have offline progression enabled. I opened the game today and I ended up with less beams than when I closed it, but with <1 megaliths and scaffolds so they werent converted into those (if I remember right workshop automation doesnt even make them, just beams slabs and plates, maybe steel?). I also get the "4000 days of production gained" when I got back on, but nothing about extra resources being crafted by workshop automation.

I have it at 50 a sec. Im finding it difficult to find ways to increase storage, to continue to build the needed space buildings + able to maintain the power.

TT is 14 (I got there from 10 with a present box) and when I try to transcend I get One step closer: 0.53%.
Can someone help explain to me what I'm doing wrong and how to get to the higher level tiers? Is it just buying massive amounts of black obelisks?

Hi, I've had "Navigation Diplomacy" come up in my metaphysics tab, but it's not in the Wiki Flowchart, and the only note in the Wiki is "Races can be discovered once you have ships".
As having ships ALREADY allows me to encounter Zebras, what do I need this for? Does it have any effect that makes it worth the 300 paragon?

Here are some thoughts: There are a lot of different bonuses in the game, and I'm not sure which ones count as global in this context. Unobtainium doesn't get all of the usual bonuses you might assume to be global, but if you treat it as an exception then maybe you could count Solar revolution, paragon, and burned paragon as global. Uranium gets a magnetos bonus but not a Reactors bonus, and it's not clear if the magnetos bonus only applies to the quarries that produce uranium, or if they apply to both the quarries and the planet crackers. The starchart production from research vessels doesn't seem affected by magnetos or reactors, so maybe magnetos does not count as a global bonus. Space production by definition is not global as it is restricted to production... only in space. Also there may be some confusion on the definition of 'global', as I'm thinking of the way it is used in coding, such that it applies to everything else in the game, but the game's 'global' might refer to any production bonuses that apply to all of Cath (global = planetary). I don't think that's how it is meant but it's worth noting.
So it's probably safe to say paragon and burned paragon count towards global production, solar revolution probably also counts, and anything else is unlikely. Anyone have a more definitive answer?
You are pretty much on spot here, great summary. It is a relatively endgame building that is intended as a starchart sinker and a storage space enabler for folks who are constrained buy everything else.
